Inertia is a new entrant to the energy markets in the Central Europe which is why you haven’t heard of us until now, but we think this will soon change.
Our exclusive focus is towards private and institutional commercial real estate (CRE) landlords and tenants based on long-term reliable co-operation. We do not currently service any residential customers.
The Czech Republic is our home market and our current focus, but we are also well connected in Slovakia and Poland, which we intend to expand into in early 2020.
Typically, we provide energy to entire buildings because of the way power systems are configured, but in a property where each tenant has an individual supplier, we would be happy to contract at a tenant level.
Firstly, our focus on supplying green energy to our customers and our simplified, easy to understand customer on boarding processes, ease of contract renewability and no complex contracts. Secondly, we encourage our clients to use less energy rather than our competitors who are motivated by customers with high consumption.
Presently Inertia is regulated by the Czech Energy Regulatory Office (ERU) but by the end of 2019, will also be regulated by RONI, being the equivalent Slovak authority, and the Polish Energy Regulatory Office as part of our expansion into these markets.
No, we are an independent, management owned company which means we have the flexibility to manage the company the way we want and the way that best serves our customers. Customers have direct access to our senior management on a 24/7 basis.
Inertia is a new entrant to the Czech market so we are busy signing up customers to begin supply of electricity at the start of 2020. However an example of a property that we have already signed up is the prestigious Futurama Business Park in Prague 8.
Currently we are not ISO certified but as we develop our systems and processes, we will be applying shortly be applying for the ISO 9001 accreditation as a means to further demonstrate our commitment to creating an efficient and reliable company.
We are always looking to partner with responsible energy producers on the basis of a profit sharing arrangement. You can use the Contact Us page on our website and choose the Partnership option when selecting the subject of your inquiry. Someone will contact you shortly to discuss our potential cooperation. You can also read about becoming a Partner here.
One-year contracts are the shortest that we offer, however where possible, we encourage our customers to enter into longer-term contracts with built in pricing advantages and rebates.
We offer competitive prices which are scalable depending on the volume of our clients’ energy requirements. While we may not always be the cheapest, we substantiate any cost difference via our level of customer service and reliability.
We are able to conclude a contract with you at any time of the year, but you will have to check the terms of your existing supply contract which could include penalties for early termination. However if your requirement is large, please request an appointment to speak with us and see what we can manage for you to neutralize such switching cost.
Inertia currently specializes in the supply of electricity only and does not provide gas to its customers. However depending on client demand, this may change in the future so please check back with us regularly if you are an existing client.
Just fill in the form on the Request a Quote page of our website and one of our team will contact you very shortly to explain our simple onboarding process. We will take care of the rest for you.
We will first of course need information about you including information relating to billing, but more specifically, we need to know the specification of your consumption points which we will be delivering our electricity to, and an estimate of the volume of electricity you will need which your current supplier can provide in a detailed form. We keep the admin work to a minimum and onboard you as painlessly as possible.
In most instances, yes. We will carry out a basic credit check of your company to ascertain that you are of sufficient financial standing to be able to meet your financial commitments toward us.
To supplement the electricity we currently buy from the grid, we are working on implementing several of our own medium to large scale solar installations across the Czech Republic as well as micro-hydro schemes which are due to come on line during 2020.
Not all our energy currently comes from green sources but via our own ongoing investments into renewable energy projects, we intend to grow this portion to be far greater in the future.
In general yes, due to the investment presently needed into the required technology. However we will not pass on the cost of the electricity we generate from renewable sources to our customers. You will just have greener power and the overall impact to the environment will be lower. That is our investment into future generations and the environment.
There is a monthly billing cycle consisting of an agreed payment advance followed by an invoice, which you will receive electronically, with a balancing payment thereafter at the end of the year.
Small deviations from your estimated consumption are normal and we absorb the difference with no additional cost to you for the deviation. However, if your deviation exceeds 20% from the estimate in any period, we may levy a fee if we have had to buy additional power from the market at a higher rate. If this happens, we will need to talk to you as to the cause and potentially adjust your future advances for the remainder of the year.

No we don’t at this stage of our evolution as our motto is to over-service our customers to ensure the basis for a complaint never arises. If it ever does though, as a privately held, management owned company, we will deal with your complaint in a decisive and prompt manner, taking responsibility for our action. Our customer needs and wants come first. Always.
We read your meter on a bi-annual basis but occasionally we may face delays in receiving your meter reading data from the company that provides it to us, unless we have installed our own Inertia meter technology in which case such information is available to us real-time via the internet.
Charging stations are typically installed in a property’s underground car park, but they may also be installed in surface parking situations. The parking bays in which we install the charging stations are clearly marked so they are easy to find and recognize. We also have some innovative ground surface solar tile solutions which we are rolling out.
The technology in this regard is rapidly changing, (both vehicle side and charger side), with charging times drastically reducing over recent times. The rate of charging will partially depend on the type of car being charged and its battery technology, but our chargers support charging at 22kW which means you will have a full charge in just a few hours at the most. Very often though, users are just topping-up their batteries which means they can be plugged in for considerably less time.
Our chargers have a standard type 2 socket which supports the international standard IEC 62196-2 so essentially, all recent electric and or hybrid cars and motorcycles are compatible and can safely charge.
EV chargers typically do not need much maintenance, but nevertheless, we make sure the installed chargers are regularly serviced and cleaned to maximize their availability and to ensure the highest quality safety and maintenance standards in order to minimize downtime.
Yes, naturally, but for simplicity, the electricity that is used by the charging stations will be included in your regular energy bills. However, the system is configurable to suit your needs, so if you wanted to individually bill your users for their consumption, then this would be possible. At the very least, you will receive a regular summary of who is using the system and how much power they have consumed.
When installing a charging station, we work with your facility and property managers to minimize the risk of this happening by establishing some basic etiquette rules for the use of the charging stations and, where possible, a booking system via an app we are in the process of creating.
